MISSION
The Jamestown Partnerships for
Success initiative is a collaborative effort of the
entire Jamestown community including youth and families,
schools, the faith community, businesses, youth, and
community leadership. The mission of the Jamestown
Partnerships for Success Advisory Board is to give youth
opportunities to have a voice in their community and to
give the opportunities to make a difference in the
Jamestown community. This will be accomplished by:
- Identifying youth-related needs
of the community and meeting those needs
- Planning community activities
- Involving the whole community in
PfS activities
VISION
The vision of Jamestown
Partnerships for Success is that, through youth input
and involvement, the Jamestown community will be a
cleaner, safer, more beautiful place to live with a
thriving business community and engaged residents.

STRATEGIES

Develop and
distribute a Jamestown Community Newsletter/Newspaper,
to inform residents of PfS activities, other community
activities, and town news.

Create more
youth activities for the Jamestown Bean Festival.

regular activities for youth, including:

Party

Lock-In

LEADERSHIP ROLES
President: Responsible for planning meetings,
chairing meetings, attending the adult advisory board
meetings. Responsible for taking and distributing
meeting minutes
Community Relations/Marketing: Responsible for
publicizing events by submitting articles to the
paper, creating flyers/distributing, school
announcements
Phone Tree: Responsible for notifying everyone
of meetings and events, changes, cancellations, etc.
Event Coordinator:
Responsible for event planning including securing
location, food, entertainment
