"Smart Surveying" |
|
The Center for Urban and Public Affairs (CUPA) survey research lab conducts telephone surveys for local and state government, non-profits, and other community organizations. These surveys are designed to aid in the development of public policy and other issues that benefit constituents of the Southwest Ohio region. As a member of the Urban University Program, CUPA's aim is to apply the resources of the university to identify urban problems and propose solutions designed to enhance the vitality of Ohio's urban regions and distressed central cities. This mission will be implemented through collaborative university networks and individual centers of excellence. Together with a modern GIS (Geographic Information Systems) laboratory, the Center for Urban and Public Affairs is able to produce high-quality, professional reports that address a wide range of issues. Survey demographic data (such as place of residence, employment, etc.) can be mapped to provide clients with the most useful information possible with which to make decisions. In addition to telephone surveys, CUPA also has the ability to do e-mail surveys. While these surveys are not yet recognized as the preferred survey technique when conducting citizen perception surveys, e-mail surveys are a useful tool when surveying businesses and some government organizations.
