Additional Considerations
Scheduling
The Center for Teaching & Learning strictly adheres to the Registrar’s Quarterly Production Schedule. No IVDL class will be scheduled after the “Revised class schedule, draft #1, is returned to Registrar's Office” date.
Site Training
The current interactive audio/video rooms at Wright State University have been designed to be self-sufficient. Although a Center for Teaching & Learning technician will be present at the beginning of each event to set up the room and to establish connectivity, the technician cannot stay to assist you during the actual event. Therefore, the Center for Teaching & Learning offers regular training opportunities to familiarize instructors and/or site facilitators with the interactive audio/video rooms at Wright State University prior to the event. Contact Chris Flannagan at (937) 775-3089 for training information.
Copyright Clearance
WARNING! Federal law provides severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or exhibition of copyrighted photographs, motion pictures, and videotapes. The Center for Teaching and Learning is committed to compliance with the United States Copyright Revision Act of 1976 and 1980 Amendments relating to the reproduction of materials. In addition, the Center for Teaching and Learning is also committed to compliance with Wright State University policy regarding copyrighted materials (Wright Way Policy #2303). Clients requesting interactive audio/video services from the Center for Teaching & Learning agree to comply with federal copyright law and the Wright State University copyright policy, and are solely responsible for securing any and all copyright releases that may be necessary.
Appearance Releases
Anyone participating in a Wright State University sponsored IVDL class or videoconference must sign a Media Appearance Release Form. It is the sole responsibility of the client requesting interactive audio/video services to secure any and all appearance releases before the event takes place. Please call Chris Flannagan at (937) 775-3089 for a copy of the Center for Teaching & Learning’s standard Media Appearance Release Form.
Video Recordings
Your event can be recorded and must be arranged at least two days prior to your event. Media Appearance Release forms are required before any video recording is released from the Center for Teaching & Learning.
