CTL Policy #401: Creating a CTL Workshop/Training Opportunity

Description
The CTL offers numerous workshops/training opportunities for the faculty, staff, and Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA’s) of Wright State University.

  1. Fill out a Workshop Information Form completely.
  2. The Presenter must provide a paragraph description of the workshop for the Faculty Development Coordinator.
  3. Take the Workshop Information Form to the Faculty Development Coordinator.
  4. The Faculty Development Coordinator will notify the presenter if proposed workshop has been accepted in the curriculum.
  5. The CTL Faculty Development Coordinator will set up the workshop in the CTL Workshop Tracker in the CTL database.
  6. The Faculty Development Coordinator and/or Associate Director for Distance Learning/MM will assist you in making the necessary room, equipment, and food arrangements.
  7. The Faculty Development Coordinator will promote the workshop via WSU listservs, CTL website, CTL Newsletter, Core Curriculum, Library KeyClicks,  Dialogue (University Calendar), and WINGS according to the advertising blurb on the Workshop Information Form.
  8. The Faculty Development Coordinator must be notified of any special arrangements or needs (e.g., Novell Accounts, handouts, etc.) 7 working days prior to the workshop.
  9. The CTL Faculty Development Coordinator will provide attendance sheets and evaluation forms to workshop presenters.
  10. Workshop participants may earn a Workshop Certificate. The Faculty Development staff will track and prepare the workshops.
