- Most equipment owned or housed by CTL will be made available to the entire University community on a first come, first served basis with the exception of items placed on reserve or items restricted at the request of an academic or administrative department. Students must have written approval from a faculty or staff member if equipment is not being delivered to a classroom.
- Equipment owned or housed by CTL, that is requested or reserved for academic purposes,(i.e., for any scheduled class or activity in support of the academic program of the University) or for activities sanctioned by Student Affairs (i.e., non-profit activities of student groups or organization or groups providing services to or for student groups), will be provided at no charge during normal working hours, including delivery and set up, on the main Wright State campus. Delivery to an off campus site will be subject to a fee that includes labor and vehicle costs. A fee will be charged for equipment (as well as delivery costs) requested to support special programs for which a fee is charged to participants.
- Equipment requested or reserved for non-academic purposes will be provided for a fee. Delivery and set up fees will also be charged for non-academic requests, whether on or off campus.
- Equipment operators, when requested for academic programs, will be provided at no charge. However, a fee will be charged for operators requested to support special programs for which a fee is charged to participants.
- Equipment operators, when requested for non-academic activities, will be provided for a fee.
- Equipment operators are not permitted to take attendance, collect homework, or in any other way act as a substitute for a faculty member or teaching assistant.
- Expenses (rental fees, etc.) incurred for ordering special equipment from off campus sources, at the request of a department, will be charged back to the requesting department or appropriate instructional support fund.
- To guarantee delivery of equipment, if available and owned or housed by CTL, the request must be received by 2:30pm on the work day before the class or event. Orders received after 2:30pm will be available for pickup at the CTL Front Desk at least one hour before the scheduled use time. Orders picked up at the CTL Front Desk must be returned by the indicated return time. Please note that, orders for large quantities of equipment or orders for complicated set ups must be placed at least two weeks in advance. In addition, orders for events occurring on Saturdays, Sundays, or University holidays must be placed at least two business days in advance.
