A native of Aduamoa-Ashanti, Ghana, James now lives in St. Marys, Ohio with his spouse, Matilda Tuffuor, and children, Afia Sarpong, Yain Rusi and Kwabena Amo-Kusi. James received his B.A. from the University of Ghana and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio University. - Rachel Aga—Assistant Professor in Chemistry

Born in Xenia, Ohio, Christa currently resides there with her spouse, Seth. Christa is expecting a child nicknamed "Scout." She received her B.S. from Cedarville University and M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio University. - Maria Astudillo—Instructor of Spanish in Modern Languages
A native of Mexico City, Maria now lives in Springboro, Ohio. She received her B.S. from the University of New Orleans and then went on to obtain her M.Ed. from Wright State University.- Volker Bahn—Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences
Volker is from Munich, Germany. He currently resides in Yellow Springs with his spouse, Deanna Newsom, and children, Jonas and Oliver Bahn. Volker received his M.S. from Philipps University, Marburg and his Ph.D. from the University of Maine at Orono. He also attended the University of Victoria, BC, Auburn University, AL, and Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg, and his Postdoct at McGill University, QC. - Robert Banks—Visiting Faculty in Teacher Educations
Robert was born in West Carrollton, Ohio and now resides in Tipp City, Ohio with his spouse, Belinda, and children, Kendal and Tyler. He received his B.S. from Wittenberg University and his M.A. from the University of Dayton.- Detrice Barry—Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health
Originally from Albany, Georgia, Detrice now lives in Mason, Ohio with her children, Drew and Tony. She received her B.S.N. and M.S.N. from the Medical College of Georgia and her Ph.D. from Capella University (online).- Pamela Bowers—Adjunct Instructor in Economics
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Pamela now resides in Dayton, Ohio with her spouse, Martin Rios Jr. Pamela received her B.S. from The Ohio State University and M.S. from Wright State University. - Dennis Bullen—Assistant Professor in Criminal Justice; Lake Campus
- Dennis is originally from Enon, Ohio, and now resides in Newport, Kentucky. He has two children, Ethan and Betsy. He earned his B.S. from Eastern Kentucky University, his Ph.D. from the University of Louisville, and his MCJ from the University of Alabama.

A native of Shanghai, China, Haili now lives in Beavercreek, Ohio with her spouse, Kefu Xue, and children, Will and Peter. She received her B.A. from Shanghai Jiaotong University in China and her M.B.A. from Wright State University.- Justin Gibbs—Assistant Professor in Theatre Arts
Orginally from Sparta, Michigan, Justin now resides in Canal Winchester, Ohio with his spouse, Christine Mangia-Gibbs.- Jody Gill—Clinical Instructor in the College of Nursing and Health
Jody was born in Chillicothe, Ohio and still currently resides there. She received her M.S. from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Jody has a son named Ryan.- Kendall Goodrich—Assistant Professor in Marketing

Lynn is originally from Rittman, Ohio and now lives in Beavercreek, Ohio. She received her B.S. and M.S. from The University of Akron and then went on to receive her Ph.D. from the University of California (Irvine). - Perla Ilagan—Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health
A native of Manila, Philippines, Perla now lives in Connersville, Indiana with her spouse, Petronio, and son, Joseph. She received her B.S.N. from the University of Santo Tomas, M.S. from Indiana University and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois (Chicago).- Hope Jennings—Assistant Professor in English Language and Literatures; Lake Campus
Born in New York, New York, Hope now lives in Celina, Ohio. She received her B.A. from Hunter College (The City University of New York) and then went on to receive her Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Hope also received a degree from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.- Mary Beth Kaylor—Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health
Originally from West Jefferson, Ohio, Mary Beth now lives in Galloway, Ohio with her spouse, Travis, and twins, Madison and Morgan. Brenda was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and now lives in Centerville, Ohio with her spouse, Todd, and children, Courtney, Kyle, Kennedy, and Christian. Brenda earned her B.A. from Otterbein College and M.A. from Wright State University. - Tracy Longley-Cook—Assistant Professor in Art and Art History

Originally from Osaka, Japan, Yoko now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her daughter, Anna. Yoko received her Ed.D. and Ed.S. from the University of Cincinnati, B.A. from Osaka University of Arts, and M.A. and M.Ed. from Ohio University.- Natasha Munshi—Assistant Professor in Management

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Michael now resides in Beavercreek, Ohio. He received his B.S. from Kent State University and went on to receive his M.S. from Purdue University and University of Southern California.- Ioana Pavel—Assistant Professor in Chemistry
A native of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Ioana now lives in Fairborn, Ohio. She received her B.S. and M.S. from Babes-Bolyai University in Romania. She then went on to obtain another M.S. and her Ph.D. from the University of Wurzburg in Germany. Ioana has also done post-doctoral work at the University of California at Santa Barbara.- Jeffrey Peters—Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences
Jeffrey is originally from Clearfield, Pennsylvania and now resides in Springfield, Ohio with his spouse, Kelly, and children, Jaidan and Avaleigh. He earned his B.S. from Indian University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA, his M.S. from Frostburg State University, Frostburg, MD, and his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Baltimore, MD. Jeffrey did his Post Doctorate at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks, AK.- Sean Pollock—Assistant Professor in History
Sean is originally from West Hartford, Connecticut and now resides in Yellow Springs with his spouse, Jennifer, and daughter Kenyon. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Judy now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband, William Dirr, Jr., daughter, Emily, and son, Elliott. Judy received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. all from the University of Cincinnati.- Samuel (Sam) Rohr—Assistant Professor in Management; Lake Campus
Sam was born in Wabash, Indiana, and now resides in North Manchester, Indiana with his spouse, Jolane, and children, Tom, Sarah, and Chris. He received his B.S. from Manchester College and M.B.A. from Indiana Institute of Technology. Sam is currently working on his Ph.D. at Indiana State University. - Vaughn Shannon—Assistant Professor in Political Science
Vaughn is from Cleveland, Ohio and now resides in Miamisburg, Ohio with his wife, Amanda, and children, Sophia and Catherine. He received his B.A. from Ohio University, M.A. from Virginia Tech and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.- Sherrill Smith—Assistant Professor in College of Nursing and Health
Born in Tomah, Wisconsin, Sherrill has lived in eight different states since her graduation from the B.S.N. program at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, including Ohio where she currently lives in Fairborn with her spouse, Jeffrey, and children, Graham and Rhys. She has also received her M.S. from Wright State University and Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. - Melissa Spirek—Department Chair and Professor in Communication
Born in Seven Hills, Ohio, Melissa now lives in Kettering, Ohio. She received her B.A. and M.A. both from Cleveland State University, and Ph.D. from Purdue University.- Vanessa Starkey—Instructor in Computer Science
Originally from Michigan, Vanessa now lives in Vandalia, Ohio. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and then went on to obtain her M.S. from Wright State University.- Julianne Weinzimmer—Assistant Professor in Sociology and Anthropology
Originally from Saratoga, California, Julianne now lives in Fairborn, Ohio with her partner, Scott Wagar. Julianne received her B.A. from the University of California, Davis, and Ph.D. from Duke University.- Cris Wildermuth—Instructor in Organizational Leadership
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Cris now lives in Cridersville, Ohio with her spouse, Mel, and daughter, Maggie. She received her B.A. from the Pontif’cia Universidade Cat—lica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, her M.A. from The Ohio State University, M.Ed. from Bowling Green State University and is currently working there on her Ed.D. as well.- Sean Wilson—Assistant Professor in Political Science

Yanhua is from Yantai City, China. He lives with his spouse, Yingxia Sun, and daughter Sophia. Yanhua received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. - Xiangqian Zhou—Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Statistics
A native of Shandong Wendeng, P.R. China, Xiangqian now lives in Beavercreek, Ohio with his spouse, Xia, and son, Nathan. Xiangqian received his B.S. from the University of Science and Technology (China) and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
