Registration for FIRST-TIME INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANTS WORKSHOP,
September 2, 3 and 4, 2008

In order to attend the IGTA Workshop and register for the Oral Proficiency Test (OPT), you must have been appointed to a GTA position by your department. If you have not yet been appointed, but the appointment is pending, the validity of your impending appointment must be verified either by your department or by the School of Graduate Studies.

IGTA Orientation

  • September 2 – OPT - You will be notified of your appointment time after you have registered for the workshop 497 or 499 Millett.
  • September 3: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – All Day Workshop – 401 Millett.
  • September 4: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Writing Placement – 401 Millett.
  • September 4: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Teaching Videos –½ hour appointments to be assigned on September 3.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 25, 2008

Please be aware that all first-time International Graduate Teaching Assistants (IGTA) at Wright State University are required to attend the fall workshop. Those attending the full workshop will receive full compensation for the month of September. Those who do not attend the full workshop will receive their stipend minus one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
