Special Events Support

The CTL supports non-instructional special events ranging from meetings that simply require a computer and projector to large-scale events in the Nutter Center and Student Union that require equipment for sound, lighting and large-screen projection.

Other CTL Media Equipment Services

In addition to providing equipment for special events (the subject of this page), the CTL delivers equipment to classrooms and has equipment for the WSU community to check out:

Equipment for Classroom Delivery

The CTL delivers media equipment to any Registrar-scheduled class in the class's Registrar-scheduled room. Learn more about Classroom Delivery.

Equipment for Checkout

If you need to borrow media equipment for a use that isn't a special event and isn't in a Registrar-scheduled class in a Registrar-scheduled classroom, Equipment Checkout is the way to go. Learn more about Equipment Checkout.

Lead Time

Orders for audio-visual equipment and services for non-instructional events must be received during Regular Operating Hours and 48 hours prior to the event. Service fees are assessed to offset the cost of providing labor, equipment, and materials. Please refer to the Interactive Video Rate Card in the CTL Service Fee Policy & Rate Cards document for associated charges and additional information.

Last Minute Requests

The Center for Teaching and Learning will make every effort to comply with all requests however; scheduling is based on equipment and personnel availability. We may be able to accommodate last minute requests; however, an additional $50.00 fee will be assessed for requests submitted past the stated deadline.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made during Regular Operating Hours and 72 hours prior to your event. A Cancellation Fee will be assessed for requests submitted past the stated deadline. The cancellation fee for campus sponsored events will be equal to one hour of labor (overtime and holiday rates apply) for cancellations submitted past the stated deadline. The cancellation fee for external clients will be the cost of equipment rental and labor for that event
