Mission Statement

Create an active outdoor community at Wright State University and be a catalyst for the Miami Valley to "Explore the Possibilities" found through strong relationships with people and by building connections to develop an appreciation for our natural resources and  wilderness.

Purpose

The Outdoor Resource Center creates opportunities to build adventure skills through a variety of hands on clinics and instructional workshops. Outdoor trips are designed to be low risk, affordable, educational, and fun. Our events are designed to accommodate all levels of experience, from the curious novice to the accomplished mountain climber.  It is our goal to help people feel more connected to one another and to develop an appreciation for the great outdoors and our natural resources.

Team building activities can now be facilitated at the new Climbing Tower and Low Ropes Course. These facilities help promote self-discovery, the development of social skills, mutual respect, fair play, and sportsmanship while encouraging friendship and camaraderie. Positive relationships are built through laughter, while celebrating successes and accomplishments.
