Adapted Recreation
The Adapted Recreation program provides competitive and recreational opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Although these programs are designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend. Extra wheelchairs are available and waiting on you to get involved. Bring a friend and take part in our many new and exciting activities!

Support is available to assist with transferring and dressing upon request.

WSU Adapted Rec
ADAPTED REC PROGRAMS

Adapted Aquatics - You do not need to know how to swim in order to participate in this program. Come see what it is all about, increase your range of motion and flexibility, learn basic swimming skills and just have fun!

Intramurals - This energetic and fun program is open to all skill levels. Each week we will play one of the following; football, handball, disc golf and other exciting activities. This is a great way to learn a new skill, sweat a little, and meet new people.

Outdoor Recreation - This program offers students a unique opportunity to participate in various outdoor activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, camping, skiing, and archery to name a few. Come join us on an outdoor adventure!

Special Events - We provide the transportation; all you have to do is come along for the ride. See the schedule for specific events and times. Seating is limited so be sure to sign up early.

Workout Buddy - Adapted recreation welcomes you to participate in the Workout Buddy Program. The mission of this program is to introduce students with disabilities to various modes of sport and exercise. Having assistance may increase efficiency of the workout time as well as the enjoyment. Support is available to assist with transferring and dressing upon request.

Rec Fit
Campus Recreation's Rec Fit program offers a wide variety of non-credit group fitness sessions to help individuals meet their fitness goals. Most sessions range from 50 to 60 minutes in length. Our diverse schedule has something for everyone--from the novice exerciser to the varsity athlete. All sessions are conducted in our group fitness studios. Patrons must present a valid Wright1 card at the recreation desk.

WSU Rec Fit

Participation is easy!

  • Sessions are free of charge for students. You must have a valid Wright1 card.
  • Non-Students may purchase a fitness pass for all Rec Fit classes - More Information & Prices.
  • Guests are permitted with the purchase of a membership or a one day pass. Daily passes can be purchased at the Rec Desk for $5.00 plus tax.
  • Sign in prior to every session at the session location.
  • All sessions are drop in. First come, first served.

Campus Recreation Intramural Sports program is a great way to stay in shape, relieve stress, and make new friends! So sign up for your favorite activity today on IMLeagues.com!

Intramural sports will have a small team fee between $25 - 40. Some special events and sports will still be free! This fee will be used for the department to continue to offer diverse and fun programs. Please check the schedule of events.

Intramural sports include men's, women's, co-recreational (CR), and wheelchair (WC) team sports, as well as individual sports and one-day special event tournaments.

Outdoor Recreation

The Outdoor Resources Center (ORC) is Campus Recreation's center for those in the WSU community who wish to get involved with outdoor excursions - ranging from hiking in the Grand Canyon to kayaking lessons. It is an excellent opportunity for patrons to explore the outdoors, stay in shape, meet new people, try new things, and visit new places!

The ORC is located in room 037 on the bottom level of the Student Union.

Welcome to the Wright State University Sport Club program! It is our pleasure to provide you with competitive and recreational opportunities to meet your every need. Whether you are interested in an existing club or would like to form a new club, there is something available for everyone. Don't hesitate - get involved!

Sports Club Mission

The Sport Club program provides the opportunity to University students, faculty, staff and alumni for recreation, competition, and instruction in a variety of active pursuits. Each club is responsible for its own governing and organization, allowing for student leadership, development and growth. The members of each club are involved in activities such as budgeting, community outreach, fund-raising, publicity and promotion, and scheduling of facilities.

Sports Club Council

All sport clubs are governed by the Sport Club Council which meets once a month to aid established and forming clubs. Sport Club Council acts as a training ground for its officers as they are required to accept the responsibilities involved in administering sport clubs in the University and the community.

Sports Club Council Meetings

The Sport Club Council meets monthly during the academic year.  All meetings take place in Student Union room 156A from 7:00pm-8:30pm.  A representative of each club must attend.
