1971-1993 United States Air Force
Extensive information systems and communications experience ranging from day-to-day operation to long range planning and budgeting. Positions held progressed from hands-on to executive management within both the Air Force and Joint Department of Defense Organizations. Served as the senior staff communicator and Information Security Officer in the North Atlantic, interfacing directly with the U.S. Embassy and the Government of Iceland. Developed security programs for ten major Air Force weapons system program offices and two commercial corporations. This included developing the policies and procedures, establishing an education program, completing risk analyses and accomplishing certification and accreditation packages for their networks. Provided technical review and assessments for certification and accreditation packages from other organizations across the continental United States.
