As the founding member of Transition Planning Essentials LLC, Frank serves as Battelle Rippe Kingson LLP’s consultant for all client needs regarding business ownership transition planning, exit strategy, and value enhancement. Prior to that, Frank served for over 21 years as Owner and President of The Fitness Store, an exercise equipment business with locations throughout the State of Ohio, which he founded in 1985. Under his guidance the business grew to be one of the top 10 distributors of its kind in the United States. In 2006, Frank successfully exited the business. Since then, he has served as an adjunct professor of business and entrepreneurship, assisted business owners as a merger and acquisitions intermediary and business startup consultant, and has extensive experience as Managing Director of Business Transition Planning with Battelle Capital Advisors LLC.
Frank is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Economics, and received his MBA in Finance from Michigan State University. In January of 2010, Frank completed extensive training and testing to earn the designation of CExP (Certified Exit Planner) from the Business Enterprise Institute (BEI), the nation’s premier provider of exit planning and value building resources. Since then, Frank has twice been a recipient of the Distinguished Speaker Award at the BEI Annual Planning Conference in Denver.
Frank is active in the community and has spoken to numerous business and civic groups on transition planning, and is a founding Board member of Dayton based Private Enterprise Partnership.
