Workforce Development & Labor Management Initiatives
Established in 1987, The Center for Workforce Development & Labor
Management is a grant-funded partnership between Wright State University
and the Ohio Department of Development. Designed as a state-wide catalyst
for positive change, the Center supports and promotes the development of
powerful and harmonious working partnerships between professionals, leaders
and union members. Additionally, the Center offers employers an innovative
approach to performance, job security, leadership, partnerships and human
potential by:
- Guiding participants in discovery of the
current relations, supporting their purpose and developing vision for
the future
- Developing strategies for success through
assessment, training, facilitation, education and intervention and
- Coaching and facilitating employees in
using newly acquired tools and strategies to ensure support for change
initiatives, improvement and global competition.
The Center is skilled at meeting the distinct challenges
between labor and management. We are:
- Specialists in labor-management cooperation
with over 20 years of practical experience, expertise, and professional
competence.
- Neutral third parties, trusted to balance
the needs and develop commonality of goals from both employer and employee.
- Community-based providers, strategically
designed to respond quickly, provide long-term, convenient support; to
build and deliver results-based services that expand workplace, in-plant
partnerships.
- Service-focus versus profit-focus permits
low-cost, high-value support for all organizations
of need, from the smallest start-ups to larger, well established
companies.
