Who we are

We are a student organization at WSU devoted to aiding you in your understanding of the medical field. Each quarter, we bring in various speakers from all aspects of the medical world to give you an understanding of the many career possibilities within the field. Besides giving you an in-depth look at the lives of doctors, medical students, residents, and many others, we strive to inform you of what you need to do to reach the goals of your future; whether that be talking to the premed advisor, getting volunteer opportunties, or keeping you up-to-date on important events. The Wright State Premedical Society also welcomes all pre-veterinary, pre-pharmacy, and pre-dentistry students, and will provide information pertaining to them as well.

-The MCAT, the test which all premeds must take to enter medical school, is now only offered as a CBT (computer-based test). Go to the AAMC homepage for schedules, info, and more. Also here's a link for 3 FREE new MCAT CBT tests.

-Here is an email sent out pertaining to general MCAT info

-We have compiled MANY volunteering opportunities and encourage everyone to become active! Check out the volunteering opportunities page for the complete list.

-Find out about special upcoming events from the College of Science and Math by joining their mailing list. All you have to do is email "listserv@wright.edu" and in the body of your email, type "subscribe cosm-pre-med" . Also, leave the subject line blank.

-The WSU School of Medicine will be offering the Early Assurance Program (EAP) again this year. This is for sophomores who know they would like to attend med school at WSU and want to apply early. Here is the site with all the necessary forms and brochures: http://www.med.wright.edu/eap/

- ASK US QUESTIONS!!! We are here to help you out, so please, please, please don't let opportunities slip away. Any questions you can think of, just email an officer or our advisor- there are absolutely no stupid questions!
