Favorite thing about Wright State:
I like the size and location. Not too big but big enough where you still see a new face everyday! It's also located in a great suburban setting with lots of shopping and restraints nearby with downtown only minutes away.
Favorite Band/Musician:
James Blunt but I also really like KT Tunstall, Jack Johnson and John Mayer.
Favorite Class/Professor:
BIO 443 Histology with Dr. Hull
Do you live on campus?
Yes, I've lived on campus since day one and I have slowly worked my way up to an apartment on-campus.
Best place to study:
I use Millet Hall lobby but also the library study areas.
Favorite Wright State experience:
When I was a CA in the Woods my residents and me decided to take a midnight walk through the trails in the bio preserve and some how wound up at the Nutter Center. I also have really enjoyed my study abroad experiences but I don't know if that really counts as a WSU experience.
What clubs or organizations are you involved in?
Currently I am treasurer of the Mac Users Group and of course Peer Mentoring!
Favorite thing to do on the weekends:
Usually randomly going to the mall, out to eat or the movies but I also really enjoy just relaxing and watching TV.
Favorite movie or TV show:
I love the Discovery channel and National Geographic and so you can usually find me watching Man Vs. Wild, Deadliest Catch and Seconds From Disaster. I also enjoy House but my schedule varies so much it's hard to watch it regularly.
One thing you can't live without:
My computer! I am an internet addict and I'm constantly checking my email
What advice would you give a high school student about having a good experience here?
Live on campus because you can't get such a great social experience any other way, always go to class and things will be a lot easier for you in the long run and if you want to work find an on-campus job because it is much more convenient than having to drive to work.
Why did you choose Wright State?
The size, location and cost; at the time the campus was only an hour from my house, so it was far enough to gain some independence but close enough to visit home when I got homesick, the tuition here is very affordable comparatively speaking.
Favorite activity:
Whitewater Rafting is by far my favorite. I love the adrenaline rush and being outdoors.
