Exploring Science is an annual event for middle- and high-school students. Held in early December, school districts from around the state bring students to the Wright State campus so students can participate in a myriad of hands-on science activities. Greene County Science and Engineering Day is another annual event for middle- and high-school students who live in Greene County. Held every March, students who participate in this event
may qualify to compete at West District Science and Engineering Day.
Science Fair 101 is an online resource for students and teachers to plan, create and participate in a school or district science fair.
Trebuchet Competition is an event for high-school students, sponsored by the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. This event starts in the classroom and ends with a high-energy competition in the Nutter Center.
Chemistry Demonstrations are held every December for middle schools that want bring their students to Wright State for a peek into the exciting world of chemistry. Billed as the largest of its kind in the world, this event draws over 8,000 students to campus each year.
TechFest is an annual, regional event in which the College of Science and Mathematics is an active participant and supporter. Designed for youth and young professionals, this public event is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the kind of careers that are available in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and features many hands-on, interactive demonstrations presented by area science and technology organizations and individuals. |
