Dr. Smith

 

Stephanie Smith was the primary consultant for DNA sequencing and real-time PCR in the EEEGL genomics laboratory.  One primary activity in that capacity was to meet several times with researchers from UDRI, working for AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.  That group is now an important user of the EEEGL facility.

 

Stephanie Smith hosted representatives from Battelle Memorial Institute (Columbus, OH) to give a seminar to graduate students about opportunities in contract research.  About 10 students attended, and as a direct consequence one of them (Michael Lore) ended up getting a job with Battelle upon graduation.
