In January, he was invited to collaborate on a series of flume experiments with John Bridge at Binghamton University. Data from these experiments will support an ongoing project to map the spatial distribution of permeability in sedimentary structures and should lead to a new manuscript by the end of 2006.

Outreach programs

 

TechFest, February 19-20, 2005.  David Ponitz Center, Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio.  Over 2000 school children and their parents and teachers participated.  It showcased information on schools, careers, job opportunities, and technical and professional organization to help youth in grades K-to-12 (and their parents) make informed academic and career path choices.  The geology booth displayed December 26, 2004 Tsunami that devastated SW Asia.  Professors Cindy Carney, David Dominic, and Songlin Cheng, staffed the booth.  Bill MacIntire and Songlin Cheng designed the poster.

 

Dr. Ritzi was a participant in the Children’s Water Festival, a day-long educational event for 4-6th graders in Dayton City Schools)
