Outreach Programs

Jim Amon investigated wetland impacts on the Valle Greene housing area . Assocated with beaver control projects.  Spoke with city staff as well as residents.

Jim Amon was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Beaver Creek Wetlands Association and permanent member of the BCWA Executive Committee. Technical advisor, grant writer and editor in Chief of the BCWA newsletter the Spotted Turtle (since 1990).

Jim Amon worked with Jim O'Boyle, naturalist for the US Army Corps of Engineers, trading wetland plants for access to salamander eggs used to stock a restoration site.

Jim Amon worked with Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering to plan a three and ten year strategy for reduction of excess phosphorous in their discharge waters. Contacts Steve Schultze (Lab director), Carl Guenther (Director? of Operations). Cleared preliminary plans with Mike Zimmermann of Ohio EPA.
