Anatomy

Dr. Francisco Alvarez received the NSF Career Award (2000-05) as well as WSU School of Medicine’s Academy of Medicine Outstanding Achievement in Medical Education and Research (2002).

Dr. Gary Nieder received the Apple Distinguished Educator Award from Apple Computer, Inc. (2000-02).

Outreach

Dr. Stan Easley has led more than 1,000 students from 25 schools through a successful on-campus exploration of Anatomy.

Faculty Highlights

Dr. Robert Fyffe attended the Federation of European Neuroscience.

Dr. Francisco Alvarez presented at the following seminars: University of Barcelona, Spain; University of Zurich, Switzerland; University of Laval, Quebec City, Canada; McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Alvarez also has three visiting Ph.D. students from foreign universities working in his laboratory. And he participated in the Ph.D. International Neuroscience Program sponsored by IBRO and held at Universidad Olavide, Seville. His topic was titled, “Doctorate Course in Neurosciences and Behavioral Biology.”
