"I have a job and I work hard to keep my income as high as possible and my expenses at a minimum, but I wouldn't make it without scholarship money."

Welcome

Making a Gift

We are grateful for all the donations over the years. Your contributions to date have benefitted directly the current and future students. In particular, I would like to note the establishment of two endowed scholarships for our students:
  • Dr. Merrill Andrews Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Dr. Merrill Andrews to fund scholarships for students majoring in Physics or Engineering Physics.
  • Gust Bambakidis Scholarship
Established in honor of Gust Bambakidis to provide scholarships to students majoring in Physics.
Others have contributed to our
  • Physics Scholarship Fund
Established to fund scholarships for students majoring in Physics.
  • Physics Program Fund
Established to support the functions and purposes of the Department of Physics.

As we grow the department, we perceive a need to improve the experience we offer students in other ways, such as

  • a full scholarship
The current scholarships can only offer minimal financial support. We would like to have the first full scholarship to cover the expenses of an undergraduate student for the full four years.
  • an endowed lecture series
This will attempt to bring prominent speakers of physics on campus for the benefit of our students, faculty and for the community at large.
