Transfer Credit Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

Generally, only transfer credits at the non-developmental math level (MTH 128/129 equivalent or higher) will be accepted by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics to meet a prerequisite.

HOW TO FIND OUT IF YOUR MATH CREDITS WILL TRANSFER

If you have taken math or statistics courses at another college or university and want to find out if they will transfer to Wright State, do the following:

  1. Go to u.Select (previous known as Transfer.org) and see if the school you want to transfer the credits from is listed. If so, use theEquivalencies by Course tool to find what your course will transfer as. If your school is not listed, go to step 2.
  2. Check with the school you want to transfer credits from to see if they have an articulation agreement with Wright State University. The agreement will list which courses will transfer directly. If your school does not have an articulation agreement go to step 3.
  3. Get a copy of the course description and course syllabus (showing the textbook used, topics/sections covered in the course) from the school you want to transfer credits from and bring it along with your contact information to the department office in 120 Mathematical and Microbiological Sciences Building for evaluation. The evaluation proces takes a minimum of ten business days. The department will notify you of the decision to accept the credits once the evaluation process is complete.

If you have further questions agbout tranfer credit for math or statistics courses please contact the department Advising Coordinator.
