  • We are very pleased to announce that the Ohio Board of Nursing granted Full Approval for the maximum five years to WSU-MV College of Nursing and Health on September 24, 2009. This approval continues our record of maintaining Full Approval status since the first approval was granted in 1973. Our next regularly scheduled Survey Visit from OBN will take place in spring of 2014. The purpose of these regular visits to every prelicensure nursing education pro-gram is to verify that programs are meeting and maintaining the requirements outlined in Chapter 4723-5 Ohio Administrative Code.

During the OBN Survey Visit in May 2009, the Education Consultant from OBN met with students, faculty, and administrators of the program and university, toured the facilities and visited two different types of clinical groups during the students’ clinical experiences, and reviewed program records. This oversight by OBN helps to assure that programs are meeting standards and helps to protect the students and citizens of Ohio.
  • Please join the College of Nursing and Health in honoring Carol A. Holdcraft, DNS, RN, in celebration of her retirement December 31, 2009. The reception will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Student Union Pathfinder Lounge. A short program will be held at 3:30 p.m. If you have any photos or stories you would like to share, please send them to Dr. Donna Mile-Curry at donna.curry@wright.edu or mail to 160 University Hall.

An online option allows you to take courses any time or any place with the aid of a computer and Internet access. Our Master of Science in Nursing (MS) program provides advanced preparation in a variety of specialty areas. And we offer a certification program in School Nursing.
