What do I do when my screen turns blue and has a lot of words on it that make no sense to me?

When this happens, it is called the Blue Screen of Death and the only way to correct it is to reboot your computer.  If you get the BSOD on a regular basis, you will have to call the CaTS Help Desk at ext. 4827 to see if there is something wrong in your software or hardware.

A little more information:  the Blue Screen of Death is a general protection fault or a GPF.  A GPF is caused when a software program attempts to access a portion of memory that is already being used or is not a designated section of memory given to that program by the Operating System.   Just in case you wanted to know.
