Kris Kropff

Kris Kropff

Kris Kropff graduated summa cum laude from Wright State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music History and Literature. She joined The Lorenz Corporation in 2000 and has served in a variety of capacities, both music- and business-related, with this leader in music publishing.

Early in her tenure with The Lorenz Corporation, Kris was an editorial assistant for various sacred keyboard and instrumental products while also overseeing the development and production schedules for all new products. Her editorial role was expanded in 2006 to include the Heritage Music Press General Music resources, including the general music magazine Activate!, for which she was the founding editor. In addition to authoring a number of general music resources, Kris has edited more than a dozen textbooks for Lorenz, Heritage Music Press, and Roger Dean Publishing Company, including Eph Ehly’s memoir and André J. Thomas’s definitive text on spirituals.

Kris was named Vice President, Marketing in 2008. Her responsibilities in this position include developing and directing all marketing strategies, print and online, for the more than 500 new titles released each year while effectively utilizing a budget of approximately two million dollars; partnering with resellers throughout the U.S. and Canada on co-operative promotions; offering editorial input in the overall direction of our publications; attending various industry conventions; and managing the sales and marketing staff.
