Elizabeth Cobb Nicholson

1978 B.A. Social Work

Libby earned a Master's of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville in 1982 and was instrumental in establishing the first child advocacy center in southern Ohio . In December, 1977, she was named director of ARE House, which provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to child abuse investigation involving medical personnel, child protection works, law enforcement, prosecutors, therapists, and victim advocates. Prior to her employment at The Children's Medical Center , she worked for Montgomery County Children Services as a protective service caseworker and supervisor.
