2.2.1 Total Number of Credit Hours—192
Most students need to complete a minimum of 192
credit hours to graduate. For a few students, the checksheet will indicate
that more than 192 credit hours are needed. There should be a notation
indicating why the total was increased. The most common reasons include
the following:
2.2.2
Credit Hours Taken at Wright State
This residency requirement usually creates a problem
only for students transferring more than 145 credit hours to Wright
State. Remember that 15 of the last 45 credit hours and at least 30
credit hours of the 300/400 level courses must be taken at Wright
State.
2.2.3 Upper-level
Credit Hours Taken—60
This requirement can be fulfilled with 300/400 level
courses from anywhere in the university. Students should, however, be
reminded to check course prerequisites. Most students will have to take
some electives at the upper level. This requirement must be checked
carefully when you are advising seniors. Graduation is delayed for several
students every quarter because they have not met this requirement. Transfer
students can count no more than 30 hours of upper-level credit from
other institutions; the other 30 hours must be completed at Wright State.
