Liberal Arts Advising
PART 1: THE ADMISSION PROCESS, 1.5 - 1.6
1.5 College Evaluation of Progress toward Graduation
The Advising Office reviews the folders of all students
entering the College. Using an L.A. Checksheet (see Part 2) or Degree
Audit Reporting System (DARS) record (see Part 3), the Assistant Dean
or College Advisor determines a student’s progress toward meeting
university and college requirements for graduation. For transfer students,
the L.A. Advising Office determines which transfer credit will meet General
Education requirements.
1.6 Returning Students
1.6.1 Students who return to Wright State
after an absence of four or more consecutive quarters
are designated Returning Students. To enter the College, they must:
a) reapply for admission to the university;
b) meet the college and department admission requirements listed above
(see 1.3 and 1.4).
1.6.2 Students returning after an absence
of eight or more consecutive quarters must complete
the steps listed above and are responsible for fulfilling the program
requirements current at the time of their readmission to the College.
