Center for Urban and Public Affairs (CUPA)
The Department of Urban Affairs and Geography and the Center for Urban and Public Affairs build knowledge and capacity in individuals and organizations for creative problem solving to benefit communities, governments, and nonprofit agencies in the region and beyond.
Civic Engagement & Service Learning
Liberal Arts offers many opportunities to earn Service Learning credits. These special course opportunities structure college program credits around involvement with community agencies or groups, partnerships that provide hands-on learning experiences within a community service context.
CoLA Alumni & Community Advisory Committees
Community members make up the Alumni and Community Advisory Committees, who assist the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts with new and existing academic and service programs, in addition to acting as important liaisons in the community, awarding student scholarships, and recognizing outstanding teaching contributions.
