Welcome to the College of Liberal Arts where students are active learners in and out of the classroom. Students in the Liberal Arts are engaged in internship opportunities in the community, on the stage in theatre and musical productions, in the field collecting data for regional survey analyses, and in the classroom learning how to solve problems in diverse, group situations. With over 100 different majors, minors, and interdisciplinary and graduate programs to choose from, Liberal Arts students can select the combination that fits their needs, schedule, and future directions.
The Liberal Arts are the foundation of an academic education, and provide the framework for crucial skills needed to adapt to the ever-changing environment of the 21st century. Students earning a Liberal Arts degree learn how to think critically, communicate their ideas effectively, and solve complex problems through multiple lenses. These are the exact skills that employers are looking for in our rapidly changing economy, and our communities need such active, engaged, thoughtful citizens as we work toward a better future for all.
