Dunbar Library Information Desk Graduate Assistantships -
There are two ten-month graduate assistantship positions available for the 1997-98 academic year. Humanities students are excellent candidates due to the variety of communication and "people" skills involved in the position. Such skills are emphasized over computer and technical skills because the assistantship requires working at the information desk in the reference section of the library.
The graduate assistants must be able to work 20 hours per week, including a mixture of nights, weekends and days, as well as some holidays and during breaks. The hours are flexible according to the student's schedule.
The assistantships begin September 1 and run through June 30, include a $4000 stipend, and tuition remission for Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters.
Applications may be obtained from the Library Administrative Office in 126 Dunbar around mid May.
