Students with an international interest majoring in other fields may benefit from a minor in international studies.  The minor is especially helpful to students in modern languages, political science, journalism, business students interested in international business and finance, students in education, and anyone pursuing a career where a basic understanding of world affairs strengthen other program interests.  Completion of the approved minor is certified on students' official transcript upon graduation.

The minor may be fulfilled by completing the following requirements:

Core Requirements

Three of the following:

ART 213 or 214, CSE 250, HST 200, PLS 222, GEO 325,

REL 245 or CST 232, WMS 200

12 hrs.

Foundation Requirements

300/400 level courses from at least three disciplines

24 hrs.

Related Requirements

Completion of a foreign language through the 202-level

20 hrs.
Total Credit Hours 36 to 56 hrs.
