BACHELORS OF ARTS IN SOCIAL WORK MAJOR

Thank you for your interest in the Bachelors of Arts program at Wright State University. Dr. Theresa Myadze is the BSW Program Director. Please review the BSW application materials on this website. If you would like to meet with Dr. Myadze to further discuss the program please call 937-775-2751 to schedule an appointment. The social work office is in Millett 270.

Please be aware that we now have a 20-hour service requirement. All students must complete 20 hours of service to an agency assisting at-risk populations or have completed the agency observation requirements in SW 271 - Introduction to Social Welfare by the end of Fall 2013.

All volunteer placements must be approved by Dr. Myadze in order to meet the application requriement. Please visit this web page often to learn of new approved volunteer opportunities.

In order to apply to the social work major in 2014, all students must complete 20 hours of work at an approved social service agency.  Some of you have already started at the WSU food pantry and at Saville Elementary.   If not, you need to get busy!
