A College of Liberal
Arts requirement is to take courses in a modern foreign language
up to the 202 level, which often is five courses. You may
choose to complete a six course sequence in American Sign
Language in lieu of the traditional foreign language.
Students enrolled
at Wright State who graduated
from high school in 1986 or before (prior to the College preparatory
curriculum policy requiring two units of foreign language),
must demonstrate proficiency at level 103 in all foreign language
either by satisfactorily completing course work or by examination.
If you choose the traditional
foreign language and have no particular preference, we recommend
Spanish. It is the second most spoken language in the U.S.
and is especially useful for social workers.
