GRADUATE PROGRAM AND COURSES
ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING
MSW Partnership Program with The Ohio State University
Wright State University Department of Social Work and College of Liberal Arts would like to thank The Ohio State University and their College of Social Work for our six-year (and counting) partnership wherein we have been able to offer graduate social work education to nearly 100 students from the Miami Valley area, who might not otherwise have been able to continue their graduate education. This partnership has allowed our WSU faculty to more fully plan for an independent MSW program and we are grateful to OSU for their help and assistance with that pursuit. Students admitted into the current Fall 2010 cohort were the final group of students to apply for admission into this partnership program at this location. For more information about regional and main campus MSW program offerings from Ohio State, please visit their website at: http://www.csw.ohio-state.edu
As students who are already admitted or otherwise attending classes in this program, our partnership goals are to see that each of you be able to complete your MSW education as originally planned and, for some of you, that will involve some modification of existing course plans to take into account as both OSU and WSU move to semester calendars in the Summer 2012 and the Fall 2012 respectively.
We are committed to providing you information about your courses, instructors, textbooks, parking, and other similar matters as has been happening for your time in this program. For your convenience, we have placed the Addendum to the Student Handbook here for easy reference. Other materials will continue to be sent to you via your OSU email address.
Please contact either Dr. Carl Brun at WSU, carl.brun@wright.edu, or Ms. Brenda Davidson at OSU, davidson.8@osu.edu, for questions related to your course plan.
We want to take this opportunity to remind current students about the options to study abroad and to complete a thesis as part of your experience as a graduate student. For more information about these options, contact Dean Denise Bronson, bronson.6@osu.edu.
We look forward to completing this program with you in full partnership between our two universities and you!
