We are now recruiting new members for the 2012 Team.

Joining the team is a two-part process. You can download the written application online or pick up a hard copy in the Political Science Office in 325 Millett Hall during the first weeks of Fall Quarter. The written application includes a short typed essay on why you want to join the Model United Nations Team and what you have to offer the team. This must be turned in at least twenty-four hours before the second part of the application process, an interview with current team members.

The interview signup sheet will be posted in the Political Science Office in the first weeks of Fall Quarter, and the interviews will be held during Week 4 of Fall Quarter as well. More information will be available soon.

The interview will cover two topics: one announced and one unannounced. The first topic will be described on the application, and you will be able to research it using country or United Nations Web sites, books, and any other available reliable sources. The second will relate to a current international event in the news. To prepare for this, you must remain up to date on current events. We recommend that you read a reliable news source daily, such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, or the BBC News.
