I am originally from Mexico and my life in the U.S. has given me a greater understanding of the Spanish-speaking world. Living in a country such as this one affords you the opportunity to learn about another culture, which in turn teaches you through comparison more about your own culture. This is what inspired me to study and teach the Spanish language. Before coming to WSU in 2008, I worked for 7 years teaching high school and middle school in the Houston and Dayton areas. My areas of interest are reading Chicano/a Literature and fútbol.
