Pascale Abadie decided to become a French Professor after raising both her children in a bilingual environment; she then pursued her degree at Wright State University. She was born and raised in Paris, France, and moved to Dayton for a period that should not have lasted longer than 6 months, but it has been sixteen years now… meanwhile she has made Dayton her second home. The past four years have been spent teaching French at WSU, where she teaches all levels but concentrates on conversation classes. Pascale Abadie is fascinated by languages and is always looking for new ways of teaching.
Last year Pascale Abadie started studying for her PhD in French and Francophone literature at the University of Cincinnati; juggling both teaching and taking classes has been challenging, but definitely worth her time and effort. Outside the university world, Pascale Abadie’s interests include reading (yes comic books count), traveling, cooking, making new friends, playing tennis, and watching her hair turn greyer every day.
