History Department requirements permit maximum flexibility and student choice. Of the thirteen courses needed for the degree, only 4 are determined by the department (HST 211, 212, 400 and 401). Moreover, although the department does require majors to take at least two courses in each of the three fields, it does not specify particular courses. History majors are free, in consultation with their departmental faculty advisor, to select all electives. |
