TEFL COURSES

The TEFL Certificate courses include:

bullet INTRODUCTION TO LINGUISTICS 4 HRS.
Knowledge of the structure of language, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics
bullet TEFL PRACTICES & MATERIALS 4 HRS.
Identification of the diverse needs of students studying English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and the most effective curriculum and teaching for these needs
bullet TEFL THEORY & CULTURE 4 HRS.
Awareness of cultural differences and how these, as well as personal variables, affect language learning in an EFL environment

WORKSHOP IN TEFL 4 HRS.
Individual and group development of activities, the implementation of these in the language-learning classroom, and critiques of their effectiveness

PRACTICUM 4 HRS.
Supervised teaching experience with non-native speakers of English
