Wright State University ArtsGala Scholarship

FOR ENTERING STUDENTS

  • Scholarships are based on both financial need and talent. They will be awarded based on a review of portfolios as well as an assessment of the student's high school transcripts, references and financial need.
  • Student must have completed the application process to Wright State University including an application for financial aid.
  • The student must reside in one of the following counties: Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, Van Wert, and Warren.
  • Scholarships will be for the first two years at Wright State University and will be for $5000 per year. After the initial two-year period recipients will be eligible for the Art Department's talent scholarships for continuing students.
  • Student must deliver a portfolio of a maximum of 20 works, no more than 10 in any one medium, along with the names and phone numbers of a reference who can speak about their artistic accomplishments and a high school transcript to the Art Department office, room A226 in the Creative Arts Center at Wright State.
  • Students can drop off their portfolio April 6-9, 2009. The work will be reviewed the week following the drop-off. Students will receive notice of the results by: April 24, 2009. Portfolios should be picked up the week following notification.
  • The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The portfolio must be clearly labeled with the student's name, address and phone number.
