Dr. Ajami received his Ph.D in International Business, Strategic Management and Oil Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Currently he is Professor of International Management and Global Strategy, Chair Department of Management, and Executive Director, Center for Global Business Education and Research at Raj Soin College of Business, Wright State University. Prior to joining Wright State, Dr. Ajami held the position of Hayes Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro; Forman Distinguished Professor at Rochester Institute of Technology and Professor of International Business (with tenure) at Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business. He has had visiting appointments at the University of Miami; University of California-Berkeley; University of Pennsylvania-The Wharton School; Harvard Center for International Affairs, Harvard University; HEC School of Management France; and is currently a Distinguished Faculty Affiliate at Audencia School of Management, France.
He has co-authored The Global Enterprise: Entrepreneurship and Value Creation (2007), International Business: Theory and Application (2006), among other publications. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asia-Pacific Business and Haworth International Business press Series in Asia-Pacific Business. He is also an Editorial Board Member of Competitiveness Review, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Transnational Management Development, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, International Business: Annual Editions, Global Finance Journal, Multinational Financial Management (1988-1993). His articles have been published in The Wall Street Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Strategic Management Journal, International Journal of Management, Journal of Global Marketing, International Journal of Commerce and Management, International Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Multinational Business Review, Business and Society Review, and Cybernetic, among others.
