Since joining Wright State in 1986, Dr. Ainina has been instrumental in enhancing the College’s finance and international business programs.  As a Chartered Financial Analyst, Dr. Ainina has consulted with numerous companies and currently serves as Research Consultant for James Investment Research, Inc.  His leadership was instrumental in developing the Soin Trading Center, recognized as one of the top 10 academic trading centers by BusinessWeek Online.  He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards.  Dr. Ainina frequently teachers the "Raider Asset Management" class which allows students to manage a portion of the investment portfolio for the Wright State University Foundation.  This student-managed portfolio has consistently outpaced the Standard & Poor's 500 index.  Dr. Ainina holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Ball State University.  Dr. Ainina also served as Ambassador of Mauritania to the United States during the Clinton and Bush administrations and has been a guest lecturer in finance for universities in Chile, France and Hungary.
