Wright State’s Small Business Development Center Recognized for Top Performance in Ohio
The Ohio Department of Development Ohio recently recognized the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) in southwest Ohio’s Region IV with the 2010 Regional Performance Award for best performing region out of the twelve regions in the state. Wright State’s SBDC is the lead center for a nine county area in southwest Ohio. The award recognizes the outstanding productivity of all four regional centers, including Springfield SBDC, The Entrepreneur’s Center, the SBDC at Edison State Community College and the International Trade Assistance Center. Productivity was measured by their ability to efficiently coordinate client counseling and training.
The lead SBDC center at Wright State University also received the individual 2010 Center Performance Award for best performance out of 38 centers throughout Ohio. This award recognizes all client interactions and the number of hours devoted to helping start-up business and growth of existing small businesses.
Accepting the awards for the Region and the SBDC at Wright State University was Earl Gregorich, Interim Director and Certified Business Advisor. Each award was based on data collected on overall customer interactions and counseling sessions throughout the 2010 fiscal year.
