In This Issue Achieving Early Success. Daniel Rolfes, '97 B.S.B Accountancy

At the age of 33, Danielle Rolfes is already a partner at her law firm, Ivins, Phillips & Barker, a Washington, D.C., practice specializing in tax and employee benefits law. Achieving a goal at a young age is nothing new to Rolfes. After all, she earned her bachelor’s degree after just three years at Wright State, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. She also passed the CPA exam with the highest score in Ohio.
At Harvard Law School, she was an editor on the Harvard Law Review, won the Williston Contract Negotiation Competition, and, along with five teammates, won Harvard’s moot court competition. Rolfes is quick to credit Wright State for laying the foundation for her success.
“When I reflect on my Wright State experience, even after attending an elite institution like Harvard, I continue to be blown away by the personal attention, the quality of the education, and the career counseling I received there,” said Rolfes. “For me, Wright State really was about the people and the personal touch.”
