Brad Adams

Brad Adams has been the Regional ADR Administrator for the Toledo Regional Office of The Ohio Civil Rights Commission since September of 1999. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission is a state agency that investigates and enforces Ohio Civil Rights Act prohibitions against discrimination in employment, public accommodations, housing and other areas while providing comprehensive education and outreach to organizations throughout Ohio.

Mr. Adams previously served as an Intern and Investigator for The Ohio Civil Rights Commission prior to entering a career in professional mediation with the Commission. While working for the Commission Mr. Adams took several mediation courses through Capital University Law School as well as other professional governmental and educational entities that allowed him to be recognized by the Ohio Supreme Court in October of 1998 as a Mediator for the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division.During Mr. Adams tenure with The Ohio Civil Rights Commission as a Mediator he has mediated hundreds and hundreds of complex civil rights discrimination cases with a settlement rate in excess of 75% of those cases he mediates.Mr. Adams received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Capital University in 1992. He also earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Toledo in 1994. Mr. Adams is a member of many professional organizations inclusive of having a past appointment in 2002 to the Ohio State Bar Association’s Legal Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee.

Bill Kent

Bill Kent currently serves as Vice President, Human Resources for PK USA, a major tier one automotive supplier located in Shelbyville Indiana.

A graduate of Ohio University, Mr. Kent has worked in the human resources profession for the past 25 years and has held leadership positions with Anheuser Busch Companies, Harris Corporation, Cordant Technology, and GenCorp. In 2005 Mr. Kent was recognized by the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for his dedication and contributions as a partner and liaison between the Employer Community and the Commission’s efforts to improve equal employment opportunity opportunities for all citizens in the State of Indiana.

The Miami Valley Human Resource Association (formerly the Miami Valley Personnel Association) was organized just prior to the First World War. A number of Dayton Personnel executives met for the purpose of fostering and promoting better methods of maintaining the best possible human relations in industry and commerce. EEOC has five commissioners and a General Counsel appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
