Upcoming Statewide International Events - Including the 2nd Annual Ohio Global Summit

Attend these events to network, identify career and internship opportunties.  


The Ohio Department of Development’s Global Markets Division, in cooperation with the Association of Ohio Commodores, is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Ohio Global Summit will be held again this year in Columbus.  This year’s Global Summit will also be the site of the Governor’s Excellence in Exporting Awards luncheon ceremony.

 

The Global Summit and E-Awards luncheon will be held at the Hyatt Regency Columbus on Wednesday, August 26, 2009.  Governor Ted Strickland will be in attendance to recognize Ohio companies and organizations with the coveted Excellence in Exporting Awards. The ceremony will feature the Exporters of the Year Award given to one small-to-medium business and to one large business.

July 28, 2009 – The international team at the law firm of Kegler Brown Hill & Ritter LPA, in conjunction with the US-India Business Council, will conduct a seminar on July 28 on doing business with India.  The morning seminar will be held at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in Columbus from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The session will provide attendees with the tools to make sound decisions about investing in India and explore opportunities that exist for Ohio companies in this economy.  For more details about the seminar, contact Jeff Dennis at 614-462-5430.

September 13-15, 2009 -- The 41st Annual Joint Meeting of The Midwest U.S.-Japan Association and the Japan-Midwest U.S. Association will be held this year at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.  The annual meeting serves as a principal forum on the growth of bilateral trade and investment between the Midwest and Japan.  The MWJA is currently comprised of ten member States that includes Ohio.  Online registration and payment is now available at www.midwest-japan.org.

November 12, 2009 Miami Valley International Trade Association - Executive Luncheon
