For an unprecedented fifth time a group of Wright State accounting students under the direction of John Talbott have won the national Institute for Management Accoutants case competition.
This year's competition held in Boston had two teams of Raj Soin College of Business accounting students advancing to the final four teams.
The winning team consisted of Ashley Bussen, Chad Fast, James Holm, Sravan Reddy, and Andy Valerius. The runners-up consisted of Scott Christy, Sheena Lambert, Kevin Locker, Kendra Newman, and Shannon Sinclair.
According to James Greenspan, Chair of the Accountancy, “Both teams deserve our heartfelt congratulations as does Dr. Talbott. These types of achievements do not happen by accident. They require a great deal of dedication and a mentoring ability to motivate students to push themselves. These five national championships clearly demonstrate the quality of our students and the excellence of our Accountancy program.”
