WSU Graduate Courses - Pharmacology/PHAPHA 701 SELECTED TOPICS IN PHARMACOLOGY (Credits: 2 TO 5) Topics vary PHA 740 INTERCELLULAR COMMUNICATION (Credits: 4) Introduces the concepts of intercellular communication through an interdisciplinary presentation of immune and neuroendocrine system functions. Emphasizes the similarities between the systems and the multidisciplinary approaches used to study each. PHA 870 PHYSIOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY OF VASCULAR CELLS (Credits: 3) Physiological steady state and pharmacological properties of vascular cells-circulating erythrocytes, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle cells in particular- as a basis of pathophysiologic aberrations and clinical disorders. PREREQUISITE: CELL BIOLOGY, CELL BIOPHYSICS OR EQUIVALENT. PHA 898 NEUROPHARMACOLOGY (Credits: 3) In-depth treatment of the anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, and functions of neurotransmitter systems and the effects of drugs on the nervous system.
