WSU Graduate Courses - Classics/CLSCLS 530 STUDIES IN ANCIENT LITERATURE (Credits: 4) Course offers a variety of topics including drama, epic, and lyric poetry; prose; selected themes in ancient literature; and literary criticism. CLS 540 STUDIES IN ANCIENT ART AND ARCHAEOLOGY (Credits: 4) (Also listed as ART 611.) Greece in the Bronze Age; classical Greece and Rome; and selected areas of Greek and Roman art and archaeology. CLS 550 STUDIES IN ANCIENT CULTURE AND SOCIETY (Credits: 4) Greek and Roman civilization with evidence from art, literature, archaeology, law, and other sources. CLS 560 STUDIES IN ANCIENT MYTHOLOGY (Credits: 4) Greek and Roman mythology; aspects and approaches to the study of myth; archaeological and nonliterary sources. CLS 570 STUDIES IN ANCIENT LAW, GOVERNMENT, AND POLITICS (Credits: 4) Political problems of the ancient world; law and legal systems; and government and administration. CLS 600 SPECIAL PROJECTS IN CLASSICS (Credits: 1 TO 6) An intensive, short-term study of a particular aspect of Classical Antiquity, which may include matters of methodology or pedagogy. Titles vary.
